The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) explicitly recognises the central role played by parents and families in ensuring that children grow up healthy, happy and safe. Parents are often the most important defenders of their children’s rights and have clearly told us ‘they want to have a voice and be heard.’
This webinar will promote the ‘Parents Connect Wales’ project, funded by Welsh Government and currently being undertaken by Children in Wales. The project is working towards developing a Wales-wide platform for gathering parents’ views, that would lead to more meaningful participation in the form of co-production.
Mae Confensiwn y Cenhedloedd Unedig ar Hawliau’r Plentyn (CCUHP) yn cydnabod yn benodol rôl ganolog rhieni a theuluoedd wrth sicrhau bod plant yn tyfu i fyny yn iach, yn hapus ac yn ddiogel. Rhieni yn aml yw amddiffynwyr pwysicaf hawliau eu plant ac maent wedi dweud yn glir wrthym ‘maent am gael llais a chael eu clywed.’
Bydd y gweminar hon yn hyrwyddo’r prosiect ‘Rhieni’n Cysylltu Cymru’, a ariennir gan Lywodraeth Cymru ac sy’n cael ei gynnal ar hyn o bryd gan Plant yng Nghymru. Mae’r prosiect yn gweithio tuag at ddatblygu llwyfan ledled Cymru ar gyfer casglu barn rhieni, a fyddai’n arwain at gyfranogiad mwy ystyrlon ar ffurf cydgynhyrchu.
