The new round will open in May, and it’s an important milestone as it will be the last opportunity to apply for funding to run projects that are up to a year long.
With funding available for projects operating anywhere in Wales, and match funding rates starting at around 11%, this is a really good opportunity for any groups that can offer disadvantaged people in Wales new skills, volunteering opportunities or paid supported employment to overcome barriers to work.
With uncertainty about replacement funding for European Funds in Wales, this is a really important opportunity to not only make sure that this money is used to improve people’s prospects in Wales, but also to demonstrate that this funding is needed and can make a difference.
The deadline to apply for the next round of Active Inclusion funding is 4 June 2021. However, those applying for the first time will need go through an approvals process by the end of April, ahead of applications opening on 3 May 2021. So time is of the essence!
We know EU funds aren’t for everyone and can be challenging, but our Active Inclusion team can help applicants through every step of the journey, and we’re encouraging groups to get in touch to discuss their ideas ahead of applying.
I’ve attached a campaign pack with some sample wording, social media posts and graphics that you’d be very welcome to use or chop and change as you see fit.
