The Opportunity to Engage with Schools and Young People

1. Radyr Comprehensive High School – Speed networking event for Year 11 male pupils – 17th March 2020, 8am – 3pm

We are looking for organisations from a wide range of industries to support a ‘speed networking’ event for year 11 pupils from Radyr Comprehensive High School.

The year will be split into groups and throughout the day will spend time with each business, talking about careers, opportunities and pathways into the industry. The aim of this day is to raise aspirations and support the pupils in identifying the relationship between education and the workforce.

If you can support this event from 8am – 3pm on 17th March please let me know. Lunch will be provided for all taking part.

 

2. Eastern High School cluster Open Your Eyes Week – w/c 27th April 2020              

We are now looking for businesses to support the Eastern High School cluster Open Your Eyes Week commencing 27th April. The talks in the primary school will take place at 11am and 1.30pm. Please see below the list of schools taking part:

  • Greenway Primary School, Llanstephan Road, Rumney, Cardiff, CF3 3JG

  • Meadowlane Primary School, Heol Maes Eirwg, St Mellons, Cardiff, CF3 0JZ

  • Oakfield Primary School, Ferntree Drive, St Mellons, Cardiff, CF3 0AA

  • Pen-Y-Bryn Primary School, Dunster Road, Llanrumney, Cardiff, CF3 5TP

  • Rumney Primary School, Barmouth Road, Rumney, Cardiff, CF3 3HD

  • Trowbridge Primary School, Brynbala Way, Trowbridge, Cardiff, CF3 1SX

 

3.Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Plasmawr cluster – 11th – 15th May 2020

We are also looking for support for the Ysgol Plasmawr cluster and are working to identify welsh speakers from a wide range of organisations who can speak in the morning and/or afternoon at the below schools (times tbc). Please see below the schools involved:

 

4.BT Work Ready Programme – Careers Fair 14th February, Principality Stadium

In February BT will be host 50 young people (18-24) for the ‘Work Ready Programme’.

Local companies recruiting for entry level roles in February onwards are invited to attend the careers fair BT will be hosting on the last day of the programme, 14th February, at Principality Stadium.
