This three-hour beginners’ course is for volunteers and staff who are considering, or already undertaking, a new project or a new community facility. It will look at the key components and processes of a successfully managed project, describe the stages (Initiation, Planning, Implementation, Monitoring and Controlling, and Closing); how to, and the importance of, involving your community and partners; and explain the essential nature of detailed budgeting and appropriate financial systems, timelines and understanding risks and contingencies when planning your project.
