Offering Welcome to Refugees in Cardiff

As a part of Refugee Week, Cardiff City of Sanctuary (CCoS), in association with Cardiff Third Sector Council (C3SC) are pleased to present an online information session on the Sanctuary Awards.

We all have a part to play in building a more welcoming, inclusive and compassionate society. What is happening with refugees in Cardiff and how can my organisation play a role in helping?

A one hour session with Cardiff City of Sanctuary will describe the range of asylum seekers and refugees locally and suggest how your organisation or group could help offer a welcome. The City of Sanctuary is a UK-wide movement helping communities to be welcoming to people forced to flee their homes, in partnership with local sanctuary seekers. The session will discuss the sorts of things your organisation might want to consider doing and how you can get help. There be plenty of time for questions and to hear about the Sanctuary Award programme which exists to celebrate organisations who go above and beyond to welcome people seeking sanctuary.
