Who is the course for?
This qualification is intended for those working with children and young people that are looking for an introduction to safeguarding and protecting children and young people. Typical attendees would include early years working professionals, youth group leaders and educational staff.

This course covers:
- Legislation related to safeguarding young people
- Types of abuse, including physical, emotional, sexual, neglect
- Forms of abuse including bullying, online abuse and grooming
- Responding to evidence of abuse
- Information sharing
- Protecting yourself from false allegations
This course will be delivered in person by a trainer from Ajuda Foundation at Butetown Community Centre.
