SUMMARY:Finding the Good: Local commissioning conversations for small charities
DESCRIPTION:An opportunity for local small charities to share views and their vision for what fair commissioning should look like in Cardiff\n\n\nSmall charities play a vital role in local service delivery but often face significant challenges in commissioning and procurement. \nWe know that small charities want to make sure that the valuable work they do is recognised and rewarded fairly by commissioning bodies and treated as equal partners\, and they want commissioning processes to be equitable\, proportionate\, and flexible. This ambition links with policy reform currently being undertaken by Welsh Government. With the guidance shortly due to be refined in consultation with the public and third sectors\, now is an ideal time to strengthen the dialogue between charities interested in shaping the future of commissioning. \nC3SC and Recovery Cymru are inviting local small charities and third sector groups to discuss commissioning of services in Cardiff\, share experiences\, and identify good practices\, challenges\, and opportunities. \nThis event is also an opportunity to hear first-hand from charities about their experiences and what they have learned about commissioning and hear more about funding and commissioning models\, such as Alliance commissioning. \nThe event is part of the Finding the Good programme\, a whole Wales partnership with Lloyds Bank Foundation and Cwmpas that aims to help shape what fair commissioning could look like in practice in Cardiff for small charities and to share good examples. \nFor any further enquiry contact C3SC on 02920 485722 or enquiries@c3sc.org.uk

SUMMARY:C3SC AGM and Members’ Forum 2024 (Hybrid Event)
DESCRIPTION:C3SC’s AGM is a chance for members to hear about what’s been happening at C3SC in the past year and help shape plans for the next 12 months.\n\n\nC3SC’s AGM 2024 and Annual Members’ Forum \nC3SC’s AGM and Annual Members’ Forum – “Stronger Partnerships\, Stronger Communities” – is taking place on Wednesday 19th February from 12:00pm in person at Butetown Community Centre\, CF10 5JA and online on Zoom. \nThe AGM and Forum will commence with a complementary Networking Lunch from 12:00pm.\, including vegan and halal options. The AGM and Forum\, which will begin at 1:00 pm\, is an exciting opportunity for our members and supporters to hear from our guest speakers and participate in discussions\, including with our staff and trustees\, as we shape our plans for supporting the Sector over the next 12 months. The event will be participative\, with opportunities to join our discussion workshops as we review the last 12 months and take a forward look at some of the challenges and opportunities facing our communities and community organisations at this challenging and important time. \nAttendees will also be able to hear from our guest speakers and participate in a Q&A about ‘Positive Partnership Experiences’.
