DESCRIPTION:C3SC is pleased to invite you to our hybrid Cardiff Volunteer Coordinators’ Network (CVCN) meeting on Tuesday 23 April 2024. \nThe Cardiff Volunteer Coordinators’ Network (CVCN) is a Participation and Engagement initiative by Cardiff Third Sector Council as part of its commitment to the development and support of the volunteering infrastructure in Cardiff and its role within Third Sector Support Wales. Each quarterly meeting is packed with information\, guidance\, discussions and networking. It’s also a great way to raise the profile of volunteering in Cardiff. \nIf you are involved in managing or supporting volunteers? Perhaps you’re a paid worker or volunteer yourself! SUMMARY:DBS Disclosure Workshop
DESCRIPTION:C3SC in partnership with the Disclosure and Barring Service brings you this DBS Disclosure Workshop. \nThe overall outcome of the session is to have a greater understanding of DBS\, its products and how DBS can work with organisations at all levels to promote and encourage safer recruitment and safeguarding in its widest context. \nDate: Thursday 25 April 2024 \nTime: 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM \nThe learning outcomes from this session are: – \n• Introduction to DBS \n• Understand the benefits of DBS and you (organisation) working together \n• Understand the different levels of DBS checks \n• Understand when an employee is eligible for a check \n• Understand what Regulated Activity is \n• Understand the DBS Update Service \n• Have an understanding of what safe recruitment practices can be in place that DBS checks can form a part of \nCarol – Regional Outreach Adviser – from the Disclosure and Barring Service will be delivering this online training session. \nThe event will be taking place on Microsoft Teams and the link will be sent through within 24 hours of the event taking place. \nFor any further enquiries please contact C3SC on 02920 485722 or enquiries@c3sc.org.uk \nWe are look forward to seeing you.
