DESCRIPTION:C3SC’s AGM is a chance for members to hear about what’s been happening at C3SC in the past year and help shape plans for the next 12 months. \nAbout this event \nC3SC AGM and Members’ Meeting 2023 \n“Inspiring Communities” – Tuesday 5th March 2024 from 1:30pm in person and on Zoom. \nC3SC AGM and Networking Lunch from 1:30pm \nThis is an exciting opportunity for our members and supporters to participate in our Annual Members Meeting\, meet with our staff and trustees and help shape our plans for the next 12 months. SUMMARY:Getting the Best from Your Volunteers
DESCRIPTION:The training will help you improve your knowledge on Getting the Best from your Volunteers. It would be suitable for volunteer managers\, coordinators\, supervisors\, team leaders and individuals who have responsibility for recruiting\, training and managing volunteers. Volunteers are welcome to apply and will be allocated a space\, on a first come first served basis. By the end of the course\, you will: \n\nUnderstand what motivates and de-motivates volunteers\nUnderstand good practice in relation support and supervision\nRecognise and be able to manage a variety of difficult situations\nKnow when and how to terminate a volunteering relationship\nBe able to assess needs for training and development and recognise different ways of meeting these\nKnow how to give appropriate recognition to volunteers\n\nDate: Wednesday 20th March 2024 \nTime: 1:30 pm – 4:00 pm \nThe training will be a hybrid event. SUMMARY:Health\, Social Care and Wellbeing Network Event
DESCRIPTION:An opportunity for voluntary and community groups to share good practice and provide support around health and wellbeing. \nThis event will provide an opportunity for third sector organisations with an interest in improving the health and wellbeing of community members to share information \, as well as highlight and discuss current issues. \nDuring the first half of the meeting we will focus on developing a third sector response to the current Welsh Government consultation on mandating the use of health impact assessments in Wales. An overview will be provided on the consultation documents and following on from this participants will be invited to contribute their observations. A summary of the discussion will then be written up and submitted to the Welsh Government (submissions need to be sent by March 27th). \nThe link to these consultation documents can be found here \nDuring the second half of the meeting we will share a range of updates from the third sector\, and participants will have an opportunity to share information about initiatives that they are involved in. SUMMARY:C3SC Children\, Young People and Families Network: March 2024
DESCRIPTION:C3SC’s Children\, Young People and Families Network: meeting 27th March \nCardiff Third Sector Council will reconvene their Children\, Young People and Families Network meeting on Wednesday 27th March\, with a two hour online session between 2-4pm. \nThe session will feature a presentation from Cheryl Pinheiro\, Funding Officer at the National Lottery Community Fund\, who will be discussing their new Sustainable Steps Green Careers programme. The session will look at ways in which community groups can get involved in the scheme\, which aims to help young people (aged between 16 and 30) in Wales into green careers\, with a focus on young people with disabilities and/or young people from ethnically minoritised communities. \nThe Forum gives an opportunity to Third Sector groups working with Children\, Young People and Families to meet other groups\, share ideas and learning\, make alliances and receive up to date information from guest speakers and presenters. They will also help to co-produce the agenda going forward. \nAlongside networking opportunities\, the CYPF Network meetings are an opportunity for members of C3SC to come together with like-minded peers and connect with partners to provide insight\, influence\, and develop solutions to local challenges.
