SUMMARY:Introduction to Volunteering
DESCRIPTION:The training will help you improve your knowledge on welcoming volunteers to your organisation. It would be suitable for volunteer managers\, coordinators\, supervisors\, team leaders and individuals who have responsibility for recruiting\, training and managing volunteers. Volunteers are welcome to apply and will be allocated a space\, on a first come first served basis. By the end of the course\, you will:  \n\nUnderstand the nature and scope of volunteering and how it differs from paid work​\nRecognise how and why organisations involve volunteers in their work\nAppreciate the resource implications of involving volunteers\n\nDate: Tuesday 16th May 2023 \nTime: 1:30 pm – 4:00 pm \nThe training will be hybrid\, taking place on Microsoft Teams and In person at Butetown Communitty Centre.
