DESCRIPTION:The Cardiff Volunteer Coordinators’ Network (CVCN) is a Participation and Engagement initiative by Cardiff Third Sector Council as part of its commitment to the development and support of the volunteering infrastructure in Cardiff and it role within Third Sector Support Wales. Each quarterly meeting is packed with information\, guidance\, discussions and networking. It’s also a great way to raise the profile of volunteering in Cardiff. \nIf you are involved in managing or supporting volunteers? DESCRIPTION:Cardiff Third Sector Council is hosting The Revitalising Trusts Programme that helps charities who find it difficult to spend their income for the public benefit by assisting them to use their income and assets effectively. \nThe Charity Commission is working in partnership with Welsh Government and Community Foundation Wales(CFW). The Programme aims to assist ineffective or inactive charities and provide them with simple options to wind up\, transfer or revitalise their charity. SUMMARY:Preparing for Volunteers training Tuesday 23rd August 2022
DESCRIPTION:The training will help you improve your knowledge on welcoming volunteers to your organisation. It would be suitable for volunteer managers\, coordinators\, supervisors\, team leaders and individuals who have responsibility for recruiting\, training and managing volunteers. Volunteers are welcome to apply and will be allocated a space\, on a first come first served basis. By the end of the course\, you will:  \n\nBe able to develop a volunteering policy​\nHave considered what other policies might be necessary ​\nUnderstand key legal issues relating to volunteers​\nBe able to develop volunteer ‘role descriptions’​\nKnow how to assess and manage risk associated with a volunteer role\n\nThe training will be a hybrid event. In-person attendees will participate at Butetown Community Centre.
