The £30 million project\, which has received generous funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund\, the Welsh Government and many other supporters\, is currently one of the most significant and innovative heritage projects in the United Kingdom. Over 3\,000 volunteers\, apprentices and artists from communities and third sector organisations across Wales have participated in the redevelopment\, contributing their time and skills. \nThe new galleries at St Fagans will present human life in Wales\, from the world of a 240\,000-year Neanderthal child\, to the diversity of experiences of contemporary communities.  \nIn October\, they will also open the greatly anticipated Llys Llywelyn\, a recreation of one of Llywelyn the Great’s Royal Courts.
