SUMMARY:Digital Tools for Volunteer Management
DESCRIPTION:This training will explore digital tools available to support volunteer managers with volunteer recruitment\, retention and management.\n\n\nThis comprehensive training course has been designed by Cardiff Third Sector Council (C3SC) to empower volunteer managers\, coordinators\, and anyone involved in the recruitment or day-to-day management of volunteers. In today’s digital-first world\, leveraging technology can streamline your processes\, enhance communication\, and amplify the impact of your volunteer programs.  \nThis course will provide you with hands-on knowledge of some tools and platforms currently on the market which can support volunteer management – including a brief introduction to AI for administrative efficiency\, online brokerage platforms like Volunteering-Wales for volunteer recruitment\, and digital marketing tools to boost engagement. ​ By the end of the course\, you will: \n\nBe able to identify four (4) digital tools that can supportyour work​\nBe able to understand some of the risks and benefits presented by AI programmes.​\nBe able to explain the challenges and opportunities for engaging remote volunteers in your organisation. ​\n\nDate: Thursday 19th November 2026 \nTime: 10 am – 12:30 pm \nThe training will be a hybrid event. In-person attendees will participate at Butetown Community Centre. DESCRIPTION:Build safe\, inclusive and effective volunteer programmes with best practice in recruitment\, selection\, vetting and induction.\n\n\nAre you a volunteer supervisor\, manager or coordinator in Cardiff? Want to know how to effectively and safely recruit\, select and induct volunteers? This training course is for you! \nVolunteers are at the heart of many third sector organisations\, but effective recruitment and onboarding require more than filling vacancies. This practical training will help you build safe\, inclusive and sustainable volunteer programmes that attract\, select and support the right people into the right roles. ​  \nBy the end of the course\, you will: \n\nUnderstand the purpose and nature of volunteer recruitment and volunteer induction\nRecognise ways volunteering can be made more accessible to all\nBe familiar with methods to recruit a diversity of volunteers\nRecognise selection as a two-way process and be familiar with a range of selection tools\nUnderstand the use and limitations of DBS checks\nUnderstand how to make every volunteer feel welcomed\n\nDate: Tuesday 8th December 2026 \nTime: 1:30 pm – 4:00 pm \nThe training will be a hybrid event.
