DESCRIPTION:This course\, delivered and certificated by British Red Cross\, is for anyone wanting a basic understanding of emergency care as well as a basic grasp of clinical theories. Participants are continually assessed throughout the day and will receive a credit card – sized certificate that is valid for three years. \n  \nThis course will help you to:           \n – Respond to the needs of unconscious casualties; – Perform cardio pulmonary resuscitation; – Respond to mild and severe choking for adults; – Respond to the needs of casualties with major injuries. \n  \nThis is a full day course\, Maximum of 2 people from an organisation. Our morning session is fully booked and there are limited spaces on the afternoon session (2.00-5.30pm). \nAre you responsible for your group’s dealings with the media?  \nDo you want to publicise your project\, or improve the way you get your message across?  \nFULLY BOOKED \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \nIn this interactive workshop\, senior newsroom staff will discuss: \n· the way the BBC Wales Newsrooms operate  \n· the basics of what makes a good news story  \n· hints and tips to help you get your message or success heard \n  \nYou will be asked to describe your experiences with the media\, your current approach to getting media coverage and what you intend to do in the future. DESCRIPTION:The ride from Merthyr Tydfil to Pedal Power in Cardiff takes place on Saturday 31 March 2012 – leaving Cardiff by bus at 9.15am or Merthyr at 10.00am. \nGet yourself fit for Pedal Power’s Sponsored Bike Challenge by joining the Family Bike Ride\, which is being held in conjunction with Marie Curie Cancer Care\, or if you’d prefer to volunteer as a marshal or to be part of the sweeper team then please let Pedal Power know. The café will be open at the end of your ride for refreshments and a BBQ will be available at £5 per person. \nBooking for this is essential with an admin fee of £5 per person or £10 per person if you require transport of yourselves and bikes up to Rhydycar.  \nThe closing date for bookings is: Friday 24 March 2012.
