SUMMARY:WCVA Annual Conference
DESCRIPTION:The title of this year’s WCVA conference is ‘I matter\, we matter: Co-production in action’. \nWCVA believes the third sector can improve services for people in Wales by co-production: designing and delivering services with the people who use them and in their communities.  \nCo-production is a working partnership that puts people at the centre and draws on the resources of the individual and the community\, as well as those of the service provider\, where everyone has something to give and everyone benefits. \nThis year\, WCVA’s Annual Conference will explore the meaning\, mechanics and models of co-production that is happening right now in Wales and\, importantly\, opportunities for more co-production. \nTell WCVA what you’re doing now! \nWCVA wants to hear from you about your own co-producing. They know some of the good work under way across Wales but they want to showcase and share best practice at the conference. \nSend your examples to Gareth Coles at gcoles@wcva.org.uk by 31 October 2012. \n  \nThe conference programme and booking information will follow soon.

SUMMARY:FREE HAP Wales Conference for all Social Housing Providers

You will hear what the issues are\, how to reduce them and what social housing providers are doing to prevent home accidents. \nThe conference will bring together a new audience to accident prevention with the aim of: \n – Raising awareness of the crucial role that housing can play – Understanding the link between deprivation and accidents and the impact for families and landlords – Identifying the causes of home accidents for the under 5s and the over 65s – Understanding how effective partnership working and tenant education can work to prevent accidents – Sharing effective interventions and good practice \nThe conference will be of particular benefit to all housing sector departments and the related workforce\, including: \n – Policy Makers  – Environmental Health  – Housing Managers  – Trading Standards – Facilities Managers  – Council Members  – Wardens  – Training Managers – Maintenance and Buildings  – Board Members  – Community Education  – Trustees – Design  – Tenants Associations  – Community Safety Partnerships  – Health and Safety Advisors  To book your place please download a booking form here.  Please return the completed booking form to:Children in Wales\, 25 Windsor Place\, Cardiff CF10 3BZOr Fax to: 029 2034 3134Or Email: bookings@childreninwales.org.ukOr Register online @ www.childreninwales.org.uk/19582  There is FREE exhibition space at the conference.
