DESCRIPTION:International Treatment Effectiveness Project (ITEP) is a mechanism by which quality of drug treatment can be developed and measured in order to improve delivery of treatment services. It uses mind maps as a visual cognitive tool to help clients organise their thoughts and goals easily\, by focusing on images and association. \nThis NewLink Wales training course focuses on the two approaches that are designed to be delivered by key workers as part of their client work sessions. DESCRIPTION:The Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) has opened the second Collecting Cultures initiative with a £5 million budget. \nCollecting Cultures is an initiative which supports museums\, libraries and archives to develop their collections through strategic acquisition projects. Grantees plan and deliver programmes of targeted purchase and engage a wider range of people with their collections. Collections management and development is core to museums\, libraries and archives so through this initiative Heritage Lottery Fund wants to support the strategic acquisition of collections. \nThe initiative is intended to: \n – support the development of collections and their use through strategic acquisition programmes\, related research and public programmes; – enhance the professional knowledge and skills of staff working in museums\, libraries and archives – use strategic collecting programmes to support the funded museums\, libraries and archives to increase resilience as an organisation  \nYou can apply for a grant from £50\,000 to £500\,000. Collecting Cultures is a one-off initiative\, with one chance to apply before the deadline of 2 May 2014. \nThis event will outline the scope and aims of the programme\, running through the outcomes HLF believes Collecting Cultures projects will achieve. DESCRIPTION:VCS will be hosting the Cardiff Workshop for the GwirVol Youth Volunteering Grant on Monday 27th January.   \nThe aim of the GwirVol Youth Volunteering Grants Scheme is to support the delivery of a wide range of new volunteering opportunities in Wales and overseas that will support the step change in access to volunteering for young people aged 14-25 and especially for disadvantaged young people.  \nThe GwirVol grant scheme offers three different strands of funding:- \n1. Creating Opportunities \n2. Millennium Volunteers \n3. DESCRIPTION:This training will offer practical solutions and advice to enable organisations to plan\, develop and deliver bilingual services to the public in Wales. \n  The training will be delivered through the medium of English and will cover:– Setting the context: Welsh language awareness training– Assessing current bilingual provision– Specific advice regarding Welsh language considerations relating to recruitment\, translation\, technology and design– Preparing an action plan for developing bilingual servicesThe training is aimed at third sector organisations beginning to develop their bilingual services as well as those who want to revisit and renew their Welsh language commitments. DESCRIPTION:Two-day Diverse Cymru course \nMHFA (Wales) is a 12 hour course which is funded and supported by the Welsh Government and its partners include the Public Health Wales\, Health Challenge Wales and Mind Cymru. MHFA is in 21 countries in the world. The idea of MHFA is that people should be taught how to perform basic ‘first aid’ for those exhibiting signs of mental distress\, just as they are commonly taught first aid for physical problems.
