DESCRIPTION:This year’s Memory Walk in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society takes place in Bute Park\, Cardiff on Sunday 16 September (registration at 12 noon; walk begins at 1pm). \nPlease consider supporting this worthwhile cause by taking part in the walk. There’s a choice of two walks: 3.5km and 12k. \nIt will be a fun-filled family day out. There will be entertainment throughout the day including music\, kids’ entertainment and fundraisers. Refreshments will be available after the walk.  \nThe money you raise will help the Alzheimer’s Society to run services in your community. Whichever ride you choose\, be inspired by the Olympics and join in the celebration of tea and cakes at the end. DESCRIPTION:This ‘Wales Observatory on Human Rights of Children and Young People’ training workshop will consider the meaning of ‘due regard’ and how Welsh Ministers should approach the discharge of their due regard duty under Section 1 of the Rights of Children and Young Persons (Wales) Measure 2011. The workshop will also examine what might be the implications for law and policy making in Wales (including implications for the local government and NGO sectors) . \nThere are a few places left on this course.
