SUMMARY:Briefing by the Welsh Language Commissioner on standards investigations
DESCRIPTION:On 6 January 2014 the Welsh Government published standards in relation to the Welsh language.    The Welsh Language Commissioner has now started a ‘standards investigation’ with the 22 county borough councils and county councils in Wales\, the three Welsh National Park authorities and Welsh Government.    A standards investigation is the statutory exercise where the Commissioner gathers evidence from organisations\, the public and her advisory panel as to what standards organisations should comply with. It is expected that the Welsh Language Standards will be made law by November 2014. Find out more on the Welsh Language Commissioner’s website.     The Welsh Language Commissioner invites you to a briefing session where she will explain the standards investigation process and publish the schedule for carrying out standards investigations with other organisations.   This briefing session is presented by WCVA in co-operation with the Welsh Language Commissioner.
