DESCRIPTION:A half-day Children in Wales course  \nThe aim of this course is to raise awareness of cultural\, ethnic and religious identities when considering child protection issues within asylum seeking\, refugee and migrant families. SUMMARY:South East Wales Participation Network event
DESCRIPTION:Free event \nMany established and emerging online tools are completely free to set up and use so it’s an excellent way to engage and be productive without breaking the bank – but which tools do you find the most effective for your organisation’s engagement work? In the Participation Cymru’s regional participation network in February we will discuss and explore how organisations are using online tools to communicate\, share and engage with each other\, services users and members of the public. We will also explore any potential barriers to using online tools\, the pros and cons of different platforms and managing difficult situations. These events have a limited number of spaces available and fill up quickly\, book now and don’t miss out!  \nThe regional participation networks are suitable for anyone working in the field of participation and citizen engagement. Attendees come from a range of different organisations in the public and third sector that focus on a variety of issues. DESCRIPTION:This NewLink Wales course is aimed at people working in services that see individuals who drink excessively and are therefore at risk of alcohol related brain injuries. It will explore the necessary skills to recognise potential or established Alcohol Related Brain Injury (ARBI)\, to be able to work with individuals with this condition and make appropriate referral through assessment and care.  \nBy the end of this course participants will be able to explain the common disorders associated with ARBI and recognise the symptoms of the potential for\, or established ARBI. Participants will also be able to plan for the immediate actions necessary and select brief assessment tools that can be used to increase the recognition and management of individuals at risk of ARBI.
