DESCRIPTION:A one-day Children in Wales course \nA non-sensationalist approach that looks at the evidence and examines the risks and benefits of internet use\, as well as looking at the practical ways to help parents and workers to support young people to stay safe online. The course is divided into two parts. The first looks at the opportunities and threats around teenager’s use of the internet and examines the conflicting and sometimes contradictory evidence. DESCRIPTION:Morning – 9.30am to 12.30pm or Afternoon – 1.00pm to 4.00pm\nTurn2us helps anyone in financial need to access the money available to them through welfare benefits\, charitable grants and other financial help\, using their website at www.turn2us.org.uk or their freephone telephone helpline.For anyone offering advice and support in an intermediary role\, Turn2us also has additional services and tools\, and provides free training on how to effectively use the one-stop website to help their clients maximise income and understand the impact of the welfare reform changes on incomes. \nOver 3 hours\, the training session on the live website will enable each Intermediary to:• Undertake welfare benefits entitlement checks\, including identifying the impacts of welfare reforms on individuals benefits• Identify appropriate charities to approach for grants for individuals and undertake online grant enquiries and applications• Register their own Turn2us account to save\, manage\, analyse\, and update benefit calculations and grant searches• Use the Turn2us information and resources features for knowledge and updates on income maximisationThis training will benefit any workers or volunteers involved in supporting individuals in financial need who may not have the resources to use Turn2us themselves and is provided with the support of Elizabeth Finn Care.Please note\, bookings are limited to 2 per organisation. DESCRIPTION:BAWSO’s Older People’s conference is being held in Cardiff on 30th January 2015. \nThe BME Older People’s project\, which is funded by the Welsh Government\, was set up in Cardiff in 2012 to provide optimal support and advocacy to BME older people in the community. The project also aims to improve the lives of BME older people by identifying their needs and providing effective solutions to meet them. \nThe conference aims to create a platform for BME older people to interact with service providers and stakeholders within the community to discuss the various issues affecting them. Not only does it cost  the UK in the region of 80 million lost days\, it also accounts for at least half the occurrences of work-related stress. For the employee exposed to bullying\, the impact can be devastating and can cause significant mental health and social problems’.  \nWhy attend? \nBullying and Harassment is often named in training sessions as ‘Dignity at Work’\, but what does this mean for individuals and organisations?
