DESCRIPTION:The Tree of Hope\, located in Stafell Fyw Caerdydd – Living Room Cardiff\, is launched at 6pm on Wednesday\, 10 December 2014. The tree offers an opportunity to attach a star enclosing a message of hope as a way of celebrating freedom from addiction\, honouring persons successfully achieving recovery\, to dedicate rays of hope to those still struggling in their illness and those working in the field\, and to commemorate lives lost to this tragic and misunderstood disease. \nEveryone is welcome to join in the celebrations on 10th December\, where they can collect their individual stars to place on the Living Room Tree of Hope. DESCRIPTION:The Introductory Certificate in Fundraising is the first stage in the Institute of Fundraising Professional Qualification Framework and will provide you with a basic knowledge and understanding of fundraising and the sector itself\, the surrounding legal framework and introduce you to some fundamental fundraising tools and techniques. DESCRIPTION:Two-day Diverse Cymru course  \nMHFA (Wales) is a 12 hour course which is funded and supported by the Welsh Government and its partners include the Public Health Wales\, Health Challenge Wales and Mind Cymru. MHFA is in 21 countries in the world. The idea of MHFA is that people should be taught how to perform basic ‘first aid’ for those exhibiting signs of mental distress\, just as they are commonly taught first aid for physical problems. DESCRIPTION:NewLink Wales training \nLimited number of fully funded spaces available to practitioners working within Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan \n  \nInternational Treatment Effectiveness Programme (ITEP) is a mechanism by which quality of drug treatment can be developed and measured in order to improve delivery of treatment services. It uses mind maps as a visual cognitive tool to help clients organise their thoughts and goals easily\, by focusing on images and association. ITEP offers clients a visual way to communicate their current behaviour patterns and help them express what they cannot do through words alone. It can be used in care planning and motivational work from the early stages of treatment until the exit stage \nBy the end of the course participants will be able to identify what International Treatment Effectiveness Project (ITEP) is and what it involves. It will explain the use of free mapping and structured mapping for personal use\, service user work and supervision settings and will examine the use of mind maps.
