It is also a violation of children’s rights. These rights are protected in international law. DESCRIPTION:One-day Children in Wales course \nConversations with Children & Young People under the Social Services and Well-being Act 2014 and other arenas for assessing Children & Young People’s Well-being Outcomes \nUnder the Social Services and Well-being Act 2014\, children who are eligible for Care and Support Services will need to be involved in What Matters Conversations and the Co-production of their Well-being Goals. There has been a culture change in the way we work with people of all ages in Wales\, including children\, a move from doing to\, to doing with children & young people. The course will look at the legislative framework in Wales\, the context for What Matters Conversations\, and how to conduct assessments with children & young people.  The training will give participants the knowledge and practical skills in conducting assessments\, using play and creative techniques and activities from preparation\, to conducting assessments through to what happens after. DESCRIPTION:An Institute of Fundraising Cymru event Grassroots (Cardiff) Ltd a long-standing youth development charity undertook a Crowdfunding campaign in the summer of 2015.  The charity undertook Crowdfunding as a means of replacing a loss of core funding which was formerly awarded to the project from the Local Authority.  Grassroots (Cardiff) Ltd has a long history of supporting young people and the charity thought that it could use its local connections to raise funds to maintain a full-time service to some of the city’s most complex and vulnerable young people.  The charity undertook a three-month mission to raise a target of £20\,000\, using the local press\, previous clients and social media to promote the campaign.” \nIn this presentation Dan Wilson (Grassroots [Cardiff] Ltd) will talk about the problems and pitfalls and highs and lows of this successful Crowdfunding campaign followed by an informal question and answer session. \nBook online \nRegistration from 9.30am
