DESCRIPTION:A one-day Children in Wales course \nA non-sensationalist approach that looks at the evidence and examines the risks and benefits of internet use\, as well as looking at the practical ways to help parents and workers to support young people to stay safe online. The course is divided into two parts. The first looks at the opportunities and threats around teenager’s use of the internet and examines the conflicting and sometimes contradictory evidence. DESCRIPTION:‘Gypsy Roma Traveller Police Association’\, in partnership with the ‘Romani Cultural and Arts Company’ present the following event in Cardiff: Reaching the Gypsy\, Roma\, Traveller Communities – the Police and Justice Services \nThe GRT PA and RCAC are pleased to be jointly hosting a training workshop aimed at delivering the knowledge\, skills and ‘best practice’ needed to improve services\, build better understanding and strengthen community – police and justice service relationships. The training workshop is part of a programme of training being designed by the GRT PA and delivered in partnership with Gypsy\, Roma\, Traveller voluntary sector organisations and in consultation with professionals working as police officers and staff\, prison officers\, probation staff\, magistrates and judges and others in the justice system. The workshop will be an opportunity to engage with the process of training in the field\, working with GRT communities and of impacting upon the final training package that will be delivered from 2016 onwards\, to police and justice services across the UK\, by the GRT PA. \nThe structure of the day will be one that encourages discussion in small and larger groups\, participation in drafting guidelines that will be tailored to specific branches of these services. The trainers will be experts in their fields and both from Romani/Traveller and other communities. DESCRIPTION:  \nAs so much of your attention is often focussed on the immediate pressures facing your charity\, you and your fellow trustees can lose sight of the planning that is needed to secure your charity’s future. \nThis FREE evening seminar is a re-run of the Wales Audit Office’s previous seminar held in November 2014\, which looks to equip you to ensure your charity’s continued success by planning well and future-proofing your charity by focussing on: \n\ngood governance to understand and manage risks;\nhaving the right people around the table to lead and advise; and\nnew and alternative sources of income.\n\nDue to the current financial climate\, lots of charities are finding that they are having to live off their reserves\, and that traditional funding sources are getting more difficult to obtain.  Many face an uncertain future\, as they know they cannot continue in the way they are currently operating .
