SUMMARY:Forum on the Draft Neurodivergent Friendly Cardiff Strategy
DESCRIPTION:Help shape a Neurodivergent Friendly Cardiff! Join us to co-create a strategy with local voices at the heart.\n\n\nJoin Us: Forum on the Draft Neurodivergent Friendly Cardiff Strategy \nWe are inviting third sector organisations and community groups in Cardiff to come together and shape a shared response to the draft Neurodivergent Friendly Cardiff Strategy. \nThis is a chance to ensure the voices\, knowledge\, and experiences of the Third Sector are fully represented in the consultation — and to contribute to building a more inclusive\, neuro-affirming Cardiff. \nThe draft Strategy has been developed by Neurodivergent Friendly Cardiff — a partnership involving Cardiff Council\, Cardiff and Vale University Health Board\, South Wales Fire and Rescue Service\, South Wales Police\, the third sector\, local businesses\, cultural venues\, community groups\, and neurodivergent individuals. Together\, we share the ambition of removing barriers and creating a city where neurodivergent people can thrive. \nThis work also aligns closely with our current initiative to improve the support available to neurodivergent children and their families\, particularly those facing barriers in accessing clinical services\, and to strengthen the role and impact of the Third Sector in shaping positive change. \nAt the forum\, we will: \n\nDiscuss whether the draft Strategy reflects the needs and aspirations of neurodivergent people.\nIdentify strengths\, gaps\, and opportunities for improvement.\nExplore how the Strategy balances lived experience\, practical delivery\, and long-term vision.\nDevelop a joint response that represents the Third Sector’s perspectives and expertise.\n\nHow to attend: Places are free but must be booked in advance. \nAdditional Information: \n\nFree parking will be available at the venue.\nTea\, coffee\, and biscuits will be provided.\n\nWe hope you can join us\, share your insights\, and help strengthen Cardiff’s journey towards becoming truly neurodivergent friendly.

SUMMARY:C3SC Starting Well Network: September 2025
DESCRIPTION:C3SC’s Starting Well Network: meeting 17th September\n\n\nC3SC’s Starting Well Network: meeting 17th September \nCardiff Third Sector Council will convene the next Starting Well Network meeting on Wednesday 17th September\, with a two hour in person session between 2-4pm. \nThe focus of the meeting will be to progress the previous discussion with Network members on young people being denied access to Mental Health support services because their symptoms are not diagnosed as severe enough\, towards concrete actions and outcomes around preventative services. \nFrom our previous sessions we recognise the Local Authority’s contribution to supporting young people through the CAMHS network\, and that its staff are happy to refer young people to community services for preventative support. \nWe have member organisations in Cardiff which are happy to offer that support\, but lack the capacity to do so. \nC3SC would like to have a conversation with our Members via the Forum to look at connecting services to create a larger support pathway for young people and their parents/carers and families\, and to work with our Members to develop their capacity to do so\, possibly via funding applications. \nC3SC are also working with CAVAMH to look to addressing the need exposed by the organisation’s imminent closure. \nWe invite any members to join the session\, particularly those offering mental health support to young people in Cardiff to co-develop solutions to meet the needs and prevent crises for more young people. \nAlongside opportunities for networking\, connection\, and learning from peers\, the Forum gives an opportunity for Third Sector groups working with children\, young people and families to meet up and receive up to date information from guest speakers and presenters\, provide insight and influence\, develop solutions to local challenges\, and make alliances. \nNetwork members are always welcome to share your ideas and co-produce the meetings agenda. Please email Thomas Crockett at thomas.c@c3sc.org.uk with your suggestions of current or emerging items to discuss or explore at these meetings. \nFor any further enquiries\, please contact C3SC on 07973 725335 or enquiries@c3sc.org.uk. \nWe look forward to seeing you!

SUMMARY:Cardiff Health\, Social Care and Wellbeing Network Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The Power of Co-Production\n\n\nC3SC’s Health\, Social Care and Wellbeing Network Meeting: Thursday 17th July 10:00am – 12:00pm \nCardiff Third Sector Council will hold their next Health\, Social Care and Wellbeing Network meeting on Thursday 17th July\, with a two hour online session. \nThe meeting will focus on the power of co-production and will follow on from the workshop that took place on this topic at the Regional Partnership Board (RPB)Conference in May. \nDuring the meeting we will provide a short overview of the work of the RPB and will then seek to develop a shared understanding of what co-production is focussing on the following two questions: \n \n\nWhat are the key enablers to successful co-production?\nWhat are the barriers to successful co-production?\n\nWe will then focus on co-production opportunities for the third sector when working with the RPB. We will seek to glean insights from the third sector about co-production that can be developed into tangible actions around changes that we would like to see that will improve collaborative working with the RPB and how C3SC can support those changes. \nDuring the meeting participants will also have the opportunity to network and learn from each other. Time will be made available for updates from participating organisations. \nNetwork members are always welcome to share ideas and co-produce the meeting’s agenda. Please email Duncan Innes at Duncan.i@C3SC.org.uk with your suggestions of current or emerging items to discuss or explore at these meetings. \nFor any further enquiries\, please contact C3SC on 07973 725335 or enquiries@c3sc.org.uk. \nWe look forward to seeing you! \nFor any further enquiry contact C3SC on 02920 485722 or enquiries@c3sc.org.uk

SUMMARY:C3SC Starting Well Network: March 2025
DESCRIPTION:C3SC’s Starting Well Network: meeting 26th March\n\n\nC3SC’s Starting Well Network: meeting 26th March \nCardiff Third Sector Council will convene the next Starting Well Network meeting on Wednesday 26th March\, with a two hour in person session between 2-4pm. \nThe focus of the meeting will be the opportunity for discussion with Network members on issues raised at our last session for young people being denied access to Mental Health support services because their symptoms are not diagnosed as severe enough. \nWe invite any members to join the session\, particularly those offering mental health support to young people in Cardiff\, and contribute to an understanding of the picture of current service provision\, the gaps\, and opportunities to co-develop solutions to meet the needs and prevent crises for more young people.

SUMMARY:Cardiff Youth Led Grant - End of Project Reporting
DESCRIPTION:Come along to review the end of project reporting for the Cardiff Youth Led Grant. Get advice\, ask questions\, and leave feeling confident!\n\n\nCardiff Youth Led Grants – End of Project Reporting\n \nWe are organising a workshop to support the grant recipients of this year’s Cardiff Youth Led Grant in reporting on their activities and make reporting less difficult and stressful. \nThe workshop will focus on how to report the project’s outputs and outcomes and demonstrate the difference the funding has made to your organisation and community. We will look at how to complete the end-of-grant report and consider what a good report should include. \nThe workshop aims to strengthen and improve the third sector’s monitoring and evaluation practice and enable the organisations to demonstrate the impact of their work. This workshop would be appropriate for youth leaders on projects and supporting adults. \nDate: Wednesday 19 March 2025 \nTime: 18:00 – 19:00 \nLocation: Online via Microsoft Teams \n \nIf you would like further information please contact enquiries@c3sc.org.uk or call 02920 485 722.
