There will also be speaking contributions from Clare Pillman\, Chief Executive\, Natural Resources Wales and Duncan Mackenzie\, Senior Consultant\, Data Cymru. \nDelegates will discuss how PSBs and other public bodies are meeting their duties under the Act – which includes a requirement to take future public well-being into account when making decisions. \nThey will consider evidence\, research and data on what is currently working and what is not\, and how experience so far might affect the future direction of policy and development of good practice. \nPlanned sessions will bring out insights into PSB work in practice\, the challenges faced and how they are being addressed\, including how citizens can be better involved in designing and delivering policy\, as well as how bodies can be held accountable for their working. \nWe also expect discussion of innovative practice with examples that have brought about benefits for communities and more widely. \nFurther discussion will look at how such practice can be effectively shared and replicated across Wales – looking at the culture\, mindset\, resources and leadership needed to cultivate innovative practice\, and the potential pitfalls that need to be avoided if communities are to make the most of the well-being plans. \nOverall areas for discussion include: \n\nImplementation – next steps for Public Service Board working and identifying solutions for local needs;\nAssessment – priorities for accountability strategies\, and how well-being plans can be effectively scrutinised in their locality; and\nSharing good practice – looking at various examples of innovation which have improved outcomes under the 4 pillars – economic\, social\, cultural and environmental.\n\nThe draft agenda is copied below my signature\, and a regularly updated version is available to download here. DESCRIPTION:We’re excited to invite you to the first all-Wales Menopause Summit in Cardiff on Tuesday 25th June 2019. \n The menopause remains an unspoken health care challenge in workplaces and across society in Wales. There is a combined lack of scientific research\, lack of knowledge amongst health care professionals and a lack of knowledge for women themselves who are going through the menopause.  \nNearly all women will experience the menopause at some point in their lives and yet with so little public discourse on the issue many women are left to go through it alone without support or understanding from family\, friends\, colleagues\, employers or health care providers. Safeguarding should be a priority for all third sector organisations\, and especially those that work with children\, young people and adults at risk. DESCRIPTION:Roundtable Discussion On the Implications of Brexit fro Disabled People and Disabled People’s organisation (DPOs)\n(Please scroll down for the welsh translation)  \nDisability Wales in partnership with the Wales Governance Centre and WCVA’s Brexit Forum project\, would like to invite you to join us for a roundtable discussion on the implications of Brexit for Disabled people and Disabled People’s Organisations (DPOs) in Wales. The purpose of this event will be to discuss the implications of Brexit for disabled people in areas such as legal rights\, health and social care and accessibility.  Informed by your views and leading experts in this field we aim to  produce a briefing\, also available in Easy Read format\, to support with communicating information on Brexit relevant to the sector. \nPlease register here. \nWe are also pleased that we will be joined by: \n\nJeremy Miles AM\, Counsel General and Brexit Minister.\nJane Hutt AM\, Deputy Minister and Chief Whip.\n\nThis event will take place on 6 June from 13:30 to 16:30 in room 0.22 at Cardiff University’s Postgraduate Teaching Centre and will see contributions from: \n\nRhian Davies\, Disability Wales\nProfessor Anna Lawson a leading academic from Leeds University in the field of disability and equality law.\nDr Emily Kakoullis from Cardiff University who specialises in International Disability Human Rights Law\nCharles Whitmore\, Wales Civil Society Forum on Brexit.\n\nPlease can you let us know of any access requirements you may have to enable you to fully participate in the event e.g. Blue Badge parking\, BSL Interpretation\, Palantype etc. \nWe have some budget to help with travel expenses for this event for disabled people and representatives of unfunded DPOs. If you would like to attend and are travelling from outside of Cardiff\, please get in touch with Charles Whitmore (whitmorecd@cardiff.ac.uk) to discuss first as the budget is limited. \nThe Postgraduate Teaching Centre is located off Colum Road close to the business school.
