SUMMARY:Effective Networks and Connections
DESCRIPTION:C3SC Networks review engagement workshop\n\n\nFor many years Cardiff Third Sector Council has facilitated a range of thematic third sector networks\, enabling C3SC members to engage together and with public sector service partners to inform and shape public policy\, and optimise partnership working. \nOver the years the networks have evolved at different rates\, and new networks have been formed. Following a process of ad hoc feedback and internal review\, it has been agreed that it might be beneficial to review the way the networks operate. \nThis review proposes to move from Network meetings to a programme of engagement events focusing on different sections and areas for participation. The proposal provides flexibility to members to engage with C3SC and what is going in in the City in the way that suits them the most. It also allows existing successful networks to operate in the same way (e.g. HSC&W Network). The proposal provides a tool for C3SC to widen up their engagement across all section of the Third Sector. “Cardiff Commitment/Voluntary Community Enterprise” \nThe workshop will allow participants to have their say on \n•	Networking –opportunities to make relevant connections\, enable collaborations and partnerships. \n•	Strategic links -a two way information and advice sharing on policy environment making key connections at strategic level. \n•	Influencing – a platform to provide a collective Third Sector voice\, help shape and challenge local policy and developments affecting our members. \nThe aim is to have the new system fully in place and tested by the start of the next financial year\, with a transition/ testing period starting November onwards. \nThe event will be taking place on Zoom and the link will be sent through within 24 hours of the event taking place. \nFor any further enquiry contact C3SC on 07973725335 or enquiries@c3sc.org.uk
