DESCRIPTION:Come along to this introductory course to find out what volunteering is\, how it can benefit both individuals and organisations\, and more!\n\n\nThis Volunteers’ Week 2026\, we are excited to help raise awareness of volunteering and its myriad benefits for both organisations and individuals. \nThis free training will help you improve your knowledge on welcoming volunteers to your organisation. It would be suitable for volunteer managers\, coordinators\, supervisors\, team leaders and individuals who have responsibility for recruiting\, training and managing volunteers. Volunteers are welcome to apply and will be allocated a space\, on a first come first served basis. \nNot sure what volunteering is\, or how it could benefit your organisation? This course is a perfect introduction! By the end of the course\, you will: \n\nUnderstand the nature and scope of volunteering and how it differs from paid work​\nRecognise how and why organisations involve volunteers in their work\nAppreciate the resource implications of involving volunteers\n\nDate: Thursday 4th June 2026 \nTime: 10:00 am – 12:30 pm \nVenue: TBC – The training will be hybrid\, taking place on Microsoft Teams and in person.
