SUMMARY:Crowdfunding workshop
DESCRIPTION:Are you interested in making improvements to your community? Do you have an initiative or project that you would like to set up but don’t have the means? If so\, Crowdfunding may be your answer! \nCardiff Council is launching its very own Crowdfunding Platform here in Cardiff. “Make the Diff” is a civic funding platform open to anyone in the community with innovative ideas for improving their community or Cardiff as a whole. \nCrowdfunding was created to allow people to raise money for their project\, product\, or other idea through the use of specific crowdfunding platforms such as “Make the Diff”. People or businesses can pledge as little or as much as they wish to causes that appeal to them. \nIt’s proved successful across the world\, and according to the Crowdfunding Centre\, more than £3\,500 is being raised every hour through crowdfunding. \nThe Council is therefore holding a workshop to explain more about this opportunity and Spacehive who are their crowdfunding partners will be presenting about the many benefits of Crowdfunding and how individuals\, community groups and organisations can get involved. \nIf you think you have an project or initiative in mind\, please come along! Spaces are available on a first come\, first serve basis; so please email by Friday 12pm at vineeta.shrivastava3@cardiff.gov.uk
