SUMMARY:Forum on the Draft Neurodivergent Friendly Cardiff Strategy
DESCRIPTION:Help shape a Neurodivergent Friendly Cardiff! Join us to co-create a strategy with local voices at the heart.\n\n\nJoin Us: Forum on the Draft Neurodivergent Friendly Cardiff Strategy \nWe are inviting third sector organisations and community groups in Cardiff to come together and shape a shared response to the draft Neurodivergent Friendly Cardiff Strategy. \nThis is a chance to ensure the voices\, knowledge\, and experiences of the Third Sector are fully represented in the consultation — and to contribute to building a more inclusive\, neuro-affirming Cardiff. \nThe draft Strategy has been developed by Neurodivergent Friendly Cardiff — a partnership involving Cardiff Council\, Cardiff and Vale University Health Board\, South Wales Fire and Rescue Service\, South Wales Police\, the third sector\, local businesses\, cultural venues\, community groups\, and neurodivergent individuals. Together\, we share the ambition of removing barriers and creating a city where neurodivergent people can thrive. \nThis work also aligns closely with our current initiative to improve the support available to neurodivergent children and their families\, particularly those facing barriers in accessing clinical services\, and to strengthen the role and impact of the Third Sector in shaping positive change. \nAt the forum\, we will: \n\nDiscuss whether the draft Strategy reflects the needs and aspirations of neurodivergent people.\nIdentify strengths\, gaps\, and opportunities for improvement.\nExplore how the Strategy balances lived experience\, practical delivery\, and long-term vision.\nDevelop a joint response that represents the Third Sector’s perspectives and expertise.\n\nHow to attend: Places are free but must be booked in advance. \nAdditional Information: \n\nFree parking will be available at the venue.\nTea\, coffee\, and biscuits will be provided.\n\nWe hope you can join us\, share your insights\, and help strengthen Cardiff’s journey towards becoming truly neurodivergent friendly.

SUMMARY:C3SC Starting Well Network: September 2025
DESCRIPTION:C3SC’s Starting Well Network: meeting 17th September\n\n\nC3SC’s Starting Well Network: meeting 17th September \nCardiff Third Sector Council will convene the next Starting Well Network meeting on Wednesday 17th September\, with a two hour in person session between 2-4pm. \nThe focus of the meeting will be to progress the previous discussion with Network members on young people being denied access to Mental Health support services because their symptoms are not diagnosed as severe enough\, towards concrete actions and outcomes around preventative services. \nFrom our previous sessions we recognise the Local Authority’s contribution to supporting young people through the CAMHS network\, and that its staff are happy to refer young people to community services for preventative support. \nWe have member organisations in Cardiff which are happy to offer that support\, but lack the capacity to do so. \nC3SC would like to have a conversation with our Members via the Forum to look at connecting services to create a larger support pathway for young people and their parents/carers and families\, and to work with our Members to develop their capacity to do so\, possibly via funding applications. \nC3SC are also working with CAVAMH to look to addressing the need exposed by the organisation’s imminent closure. \nWe invite any members to join the session\, particularly those offering mental health support to young people in Cardiff to co-develop solutions to meet the needs and prevent crises for more young people. \nAlongside opportunities for networking\, connection\, and learning from peers\, the Forum gives an opportunity for Third Sector groups working with children\, young people and families to meet up and receive up to date information from guest speakers and presenters\, provide insight and influence\, develop solutions to local challenges\, and make alliances. \nNetwork members are always welcome to share your ideas and co-produce the meetings agenda. Please email Thomas Crockett at thomas.c@c3sc.org.uk with your suggestions of current or emerging items to discuss or explore at these meetings. \nFor any further enquiries\, please contact C3SC on 07973 725335 or enquiries@c3sc.org.uk. \nWe look forward to seeing you!
