SUMMARY:A Case for Play
DESCRIPTION:Sponsored by: Hefin David AM \nSense would like to invite you to attend the launch of their play toolkits at the Pierhead on 24th November 2016 12-2pm. \nFor three months between September and November 2015\, Sense undertook a public inquiry into the provision of play opportunities for children aged 0-5 with multiple needs in England and Wales. \nThe inquiry was established in response to feedback received from families of children with multiple needs who had expressed concerns that they had fewer opportunities to access play services and settings in comparison to families with non-disabled children. \nThe Case for Play Inquiry was designed to provide an evidence base and thorough understanding of the following questions: \n\nWhat are the benefits of play for children with multiple needs?\nDo barriers exist to young children with multiple needs accessing play settings and activities? If so\, what are these?\nWhat can be done to increase access to play opportunities for young children with multiple needs?\n\nGuidance on learning to play with their children is also the most common request from families who access support from Sense. \nThese toolkits have been produced to provide ideas of how to engage children with multiple needs in play activity. \nPlease RSVP to angie.contestabile@sense.org.uk

SUMMARY:Benefits realisation webinar
DESCRIPTION:About the webinar \nPublic Services spend millions of pounds on projects that never get finished. Often\, the reason has nothing to do with the quality of the deliverable. More likely there is not the time\, energy or enthusiasm to make sure the product or service is adopted and embedded in the organisation. More than likely\, it’s about the Programme and Project Management Team that have moved onto the next project or have disbanded. \nThe Wales Audit Office\, Project Management Institute and Good Practice Wales are holding a free Webinar on Benefits Realisation\, highlighting the latest research from across Europe on the most up-to-date practices from across Europe and beyond. Walking away from this webinar\, delegates will have a clear understanding of the critical path/approach delegates need to undertake to enable them to realise their Programme benefits. \nWho the webinar is aimed at   This Webinar is aimed at all public and third sector managers and officers responsible for: \n\nProgramme Commissioners;\nProgramme Directors\nProgramme and Project Management Delivering Team;\nProject Managers; and \nAudit Committee members\n\nRegister   For further information on the webinar please email good.practice@audit.wales  When booking your place\, please advise if you would like to be included in a ‘dummy run’ webinar session. This is purely to test the connection to avoid any disappointment on the day.
