It will be a two hour in person session between 10am-12pm\, at Butetown Community Centre. \nThe meeting will feature a presentation from Anna Tee\, Partnership Programme Manager at Cardiff and Vale Regional Partnership Board\, on a proposal to improve engagement from babies\, children and young people across the Starting Well Programme and a discussion session facilitated by C3SC. \nPlease join us to have your say on how the Regional Partnership Board’s Starting Well Programme can meet their commitment to hearing the voices of people with lived experience and improve co-production across their programmes of work\, and to help scope a new approach that has children and young people as active members. \nThe aim of this approach is to help the RPB’s Starting Well Programme: \n– Improve the opportunities for children and young people to have a meaningful role in shaping regional priorities and decisions that affect their lives.– Provide a means for input\, balance\, and a two-way conversation between the children\, young people and the organisations responsible for providing services.– Build on the strengths of established youth councils\, third sector networks\, and lived experience groups\, rather than creating new forums.– Embed co-production principles by involving children and young people as equal partners in governance and service design.– Recognise that while valuable\, the group may not fully represent all children and young people—particularly those less likely to engage with formal participation structures – so will avoid the traditional and potentially excluding meeting structures.– Enable members to share discussions with wider networks and bring collective insights back in to inform decision-making. \nAlongside opportunities for networking\, connection\, and learning from peers\, C3SC Forums are a great opportunity for Third Sector groups to meet up and receive up to date information from guest speakers and presenters\, provide insight and influence\, develop solutions to local challenges\, and make alliances. SUMMARY:Making Every Contact Count (MECC) training for third sector organisations
DESCRIPTION:Three hour MECC session tailored specifically to third sector organisations\n\n\nC3SC has partnered with the local Public Health Team to deliver Making Every Contact Count (MECC) training to third sector organisations in Cardiff that have an interest in helping people improve their health and wellbeing. \nMany staff and volunteers in community groups and third sector organisations have regular interactions with the public. The training will provide tools that will help participants use those interactions as an opportunity to help people make healthy lifestyle choices. \nWhat will be covered at the training? \nThe training will provide up to date evidence-based information and resources on the subjects of smoking\, physical activity\, healthy eating\, alcohol\, mental wellbeing and immunisations. DESCRIPTION:C3SC’s AGM is a chance for members to hear about what’s been happening at C3SC in the past year\n\n\nC3SC’s AGM and Members’ Forum 2025 \nWe are pleased to confirm C3SC’s AGM and Annual Members Meeting will be taking place on 10th February from 12 noon at Butetown Community Centre\, Loudoun Square\, Cardiff CF10 5JA and Online via Zoom.  \nAs well as our formal AGM and resolutions\, the event enables us to further our aim to work co-productively with our members to develop\, support\, represent and promote our fabulous local community of volunteers\, voluntary groups and charitable organisations\, and to say thank you for all your support. \nIn the current environment of instability and ongoing financial constraint\, the demand for new ways of working that puts people at the centre of the way services are designed and delivered align with the long-standing approaches that are central to third sector delivery. Organised by C3SC in partnership with Cardiff Central Library Hub\, the fair will bring together community schools\, and organisations supporting minority communities in Cardiff to showcase languages and cultures\, strengthen connections between communities\, and highlight the important role that multilingualism plays in the life of Cardiff.\n\n\n📍 Cardiff Central Library\n📅 Thursday\, 26 March 2026\n⏰ 4:00pm–6:00pm \nThis free event will showcase members of C3SC – the community schools that run on Saturdays or Sundays in Cardiff.
