DESCRIPTION:Focus on National Lottery Good Causes Consultation\n\n\n \nThe Department for Culture\, Media and Sport is launching a call for evidence on the future of National Lottery good cause funding. \nSince 1994\, the National Lottery has generated over £53 billion for good causes across the UK\, funding elite and grassroots sport\, cultural institutions and local community projects. DESCRIPTION:An online training session for new and existing Trustees in Cardiff to learn more about best practice in governance.\n\n\nAre you an existing trustee of a voluntary group or organisation ? \nAre you thinking of becoming a trustee? \nBeing a trustee in the voluntary sector is very rewarding but it can also be challenging. This interactive training course will help new\, existing or aspiring Trustees improve your understanding of how best to run your group or organisation. Our experienced trainers will share their knowledge on best practice in good goverance and you will have opportunities to ask any quetions and share your experiences. \n \nThe aims and objectives of the course are : \n\nUnderstanding the key principles and good practice in governance\nUnderstanding collective responsibility and accountability\nUnderstanding the roles and responsibilities of the Board in ensuring your group or organisation is well-run\n\n \nThe session will take place on-line – we will send you the MS Teams link at least one day prior to the session. \nPlease feel free to bring your organisation’s governing document to the session. \nAs part of our ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality\, well-resourced training\, we have recently introduced a revised pricing structure for statutory and private sector attendees.
