DESCRIPTION:The training will help you improve your knowledge on getting the best from your volunteers.\n\n\nThe training will help you improve your knowledge on Getting the Best from your Volunteers. It would be suitable for volunteer managers\, coordinators\, supervisors\, team leaders and individuals who have responsibility for recruiting\, training and managing volunteers. Volunteers are welcome to apply and will be allocated a space\, on a first come first served basis. By the end of the course\, you will: \n\nUnderstand what motivates and de-motivates volunteers\nUnderstand good practice in relation support and supervision\nRecognise and be able to manage a variety of difficult situations\nKnow when and how to terminate a volunteering relationship\nBe able to assess needs for training and development and recognise different ways of meeting these\nKnow how to give appropriate recognition to volunteers\n\nDate: Thursday 26th March 2026 \nTime: 2:00 pm – 4:30 pm \nThe training will be a hybrid event. In person attendees are invited to join us at Butetown Community Centre. SUMMARY:Cardiff City of Languages Fair
DESCRIPTION:The Cardiff City of Languages Fair is a celebration of the rich linguistic and cultural diversity of Cardiff. Organised by C3SC in partnership with Cardiff Central Library Hub\, the fair will bring together community schools\, and organisations supporting minority communities in Cardiff to showcase languages and cultures\, strengthen connections between communities\, and highlight the important role that multilingualism plays in the life of Cardiff.\n\n\n📍 Cardiff Central Library\n📅 Thursday\, 26 March 2026\n⏰ 4:00pm–6:00pm \nThis free event will showcase members of C3SC – the community schools that run on Saturdays or Sundays in Cardiff. These schools support children and young people in learning to read and write in their heritage languages while also exploring their native history and culture. \n🌐 Languages represented will include:\nArabic\, Chinese\, Lithuanian\, Polish\, Romanian\, Spanish\, Ukrainian\, and more. \nOrganisations that support minority communities will also be present\, and Menter Caerdydd will provide information about Welsh-language activities available in Cardiff. Schools are planning to organise arts and crafts activities\, and there will also be cultural performances for attendees to enjoy. \nFor further enquiries\, contact C3SC on 07776844566 or volunteer@c3sc.org.uk
