DESCRIPTION:C3SC in partnership with the Disclosure and Barring Service brings you this DBS Disclosure Workshop. \nAs part of National Safeguarding Week and in line with this year’s theme of Neglect\, this session focuses on the critical role of the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) in promoting safer recruitment and safeguarding in its widest context. \nParticipants will gain a deeper understanding of DBS products and how they can be utilised by organisations at all levels to support recruitment processes that help safeguard against neglect and other forms of abuse. \nDate: Tuesday 19th November 2024 \nTime: 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM\n \nThe learning outcomes from this session are: – \n\nIntroduction to DBS\nUnderstand the benefits of DBS and you (organisation) working together\nUnderstand the different levels of DBS checks\nUnderstand when an employee is eligible for a check\nUnderstand what Regulated Activity is\nUnderstand the DBS Update Service\nHave an understanding of what safe recruitment practices can be in place that DBS checks can form a part of\n\nJulia – Regional Outreach Adviser – from the Disclosure and Barring Service will be delivering this online training session. \nThe event will be taking place on Microsoft Teams and the link will be sent through within 24 hours of the event taking place. \nFor any further enquiries please contact C3SC on 02920 485722 or enquiries@c3sc.org.uk \nWe are look forward to seeing you.
