SUMMARY:Level 2 Award in Manual Handling
DESCRIPTION:The protection\, or safeguarding\, of vulnerable adults should be at the forefront of any social worker or carers’ minds. Adult abuse has become all too common in modern society and this course has been designed to make carers aware of the signs of abuse and what they can do to help. There are no prerequisites to enroll on this course. \nCourse Objectives / Aims & Learning Outcomes \nTo provide the knowledge and skills to be able to undertake a range of handling operations in the work/ volunteer place \n\nManual handling injuries\nEmployers and employees’ responsibilities\nSteps of a manual handling risk assessments\nPractical controls\nSafer movement principles\nEquipment requirements\nIndividual handling\nTeam handling\nUse of equipment\n\nThe content has been written to meet guidance from manual handling operations regulations. Attendees are expected to undertake a range of manual handling activities during the course. \nThis course will be delivered in person by a trainer from Ajuda Foundation. \nAddress: Butetown Community Centre\, 40 Loudoun Square\, Cardiff\, CF10 5JA \nDate: Thursday 17th August 2023 \nTime: 9:30am to 4:30pm \nPlease note that tickets will be limited to two representatives per organisation.
