SUMMARY:Community Foundation in Wales Funding Surgery at C3SC
DESCRIPTION:C3SC is pleased to announce that a day of pre-booked appointments has been organised in collaboration with the Community Foundation in Wales. \nThe opportunity to access a huge variety of funding that is open to voluntary and community groups that work with people suffering from poverty and disadvantage\, refugees\, the environment\, victim support services\, education and learning\, building better communities\, arts\, heritage or culture and improving physical and mental health. \nGroups serving Cardiff will be able to apply for a 30-minute appointment with Ffion Roberts\, the Foundation grants officer\, to discuss the eligibility and potential of a project proposal. Groups that wish to apply must be available for a 30-minute appointment between 10am and 5pm on Tuesday 22nd March. There will be a maximum of ten appointments available on the day. \nTo apply for an appointment please forward an outline of your project proposal (no more than one side of A4) and your first and second choice appointment times (from the schedule below) to bookings@c3sc.org.uk Applications must be received by Thursday 17th March; appointments will be confirmed by Friday 18th March. \n10:00am – 10:30am \n10:35am – 11:05am \n11:10am – 11:40am \n11.45am – 12:15pm \n12:20pm – 12.50pm \n2:00pm – 2:30pm \n2:35pm – 3:05pm \n3:10pm – 3:40pm \n3:45pm – 4:15pm \n4:20pm – 4:50pm \n  \nAn example of funds available to groups from Cardiff:- \n  \nCardiff Citizens Fund \nThe Cardiff Community Endowment Fund is an umbrella of Funds and donations dedicated to enhancing education and strengthening communities in Cardiff\, such as: \n\nSupport for older people eg. Luncheon club\nSupport for people living in crisis eg. Homelessness\, those on low incomes etc.\n\nGrants Available: £500 – £1\,000 for non-profit organizations. \n  \nFund for Wales \nFund for Wales grants are awarded to achieve the following outcomes: \n\nEnabling young people and promoting education\, enterprise and life-long learning\nBuilding cohesion and confidence in communities\nImproving physical and mental health\nNurturing heritage and culture\nProtecting our environment\n\nGrants Available: £500 – £1\,000 for small\, volunteer-driven community organisations. \n  \nComic Relief: Local Communities \nThe programme aims to empower local people\, enabling them to create lasting change in their communities by: \n\nIncrease local services\,\nBuild skills of local people\,\nIncrease community cohesion\nRespond to local economic needs\n\nGrants Available: Up to £10\,000 for non-profit organisations \n  \nNew Beginnings – A refugee pilot scheme \nThe fund is responding to the recent dramatic increase in refugees and asylums seekers moving across Europe which is placing incredible strain on the network of community based support available within the UK. \nThe types of activity we are likely to fund: \n\nWe encourage proposals from groups that are led by local refugees and asylum seekers\nGroups offering:\n\nGuidance and/ or counseling\nCommunity integration and welcoming activities with existing local communities\n\n\nGroups supporting volunteering and community activities.\n\nGrants Available: Up to £10\,000 are available for individual groups or up to £20\,000 for partnerships (a lead organisation will need to make the application) \n  \nSouth Wales Police and Crime Commissioners Victims Fund \nThe South Wales Police and Crime Commissioner’s Victims Fund will consider applications from voluntary and third sector organisations for funding towards specialist victim services. \nThe Fund can support: \n\nNew or existing projects and specialist services that work with individuals and their family members who have been directly or indirectly affected by crime.\nThe Fund welcomes innovative ideas of projects that would complement existing support services for victims.\n\nGrants Available: £1\,000 – £20\,000 for Local community organisations and voluntary groups with a base in the South Wales Police force area
