SUMMARY:GVS and C3SC - Lloyds Bank Foundation funding presentation event
DESCRIPTION:Funding programmes presentation with Mike Lewis\, Wales Grant Manager\n**FREE OF CHARGE ** \nGlamorgan Voluntary Services and Cardiff Third Sector Council are jointly organising a presentation by the Lloyds Bank Foundation. \nLloyds Bank Foundation is seeking to invest in registered charities that support people at critical points in their lives to break out of poverty and disadvantage\, promoting practical approaches to achieving lasting change. Mike Lewis\, Wales Grant Manager\, will be joining the session to discuss the Foundation’s funding programmes and priorities and to answer your questions. \nAre you eligible to apply? \n■ Must be a Registered Charity or Charitable Incorporated Organisation. \n■ Have an annual income of more than £25\,000 and less than £1m\, with at least one year of published accounts and free reserves of less than 12 months. \n■ Have a track record of direct service delivery\, operating mainly in England and Wales working with people 17 years and older. \n■ Charities are expected to be working with people experiencing multiple disadvantage at times of transition. The work must be `targeted` and `holistic` and involve ongoing support (no short-term intervention). A list of these transitions are available on the Foundation’s website. \n■ Applicants must have a clear plan of activities and an idea of what they expect to achieve. \n■ Charities will also need to meet the Foundation’s other eligibility criteria. \nBefore registering for the event\, please visit the Foundation’s website: and read their eligibility guidance and complete the eligibility checklist. It is recommend that you read all the ‘How to apply’ section (the eligibility checklist is right at the end of this section of the website). This will give you an indication of your potential eligibility. If you are not able to answer “Yes” to all the eligibility criteria then unfortunately you will be unable to access funding from the Foundation. \nThe Foundation operates two funding programmes – “Invest” for service delivery work and “Enable” for organisational development costs. \nIf you are interested in attending the presentation event\, having successfully completed the online eligibility check\, please register your interest with Dave Edwards\, GVS Development Officer\, by calling 01446 741706 or emailing dave@gvs.wales by Friday 26th February 2016.
