DESCRIPTION:The Social Co-operation Forum is holding an event aimed at citizen activists and collaborators who are involved in developing local self-help initiatives. \nThe aim of the event is to enable delegates to: \n\nLearn from each other and from relevant expert practitioners\nDevelop useful networking relationships at national and local level\nAssist the Forum and others in identifying a national agenda that will help user-led and co-operative support services to flourish\n\nWho should attend? \n\nCitizens exploring self help and co-operative support services\nCommunity development and co-production practitioners\nCommissioners interested in user-led and co-operative models of support\n Anyone interested in finding out more about user-led and co-operative support services.\n\nPlease mark the event in your diary. It is made up of individuals and organisations who support the development of social care and well-being services which embrace co-operative principles. It welcomes the new duty on local authorities to promote user-led and co-operative organisations in the field of social care\, as set out in Section 16 of the Social Services and Well Being (Wales) Act 2014. \nThe event is sponsored by Welsh Government. \nThere is a small bursary available to cover travel expenses.
