DESCRIPTION:Featuring:  •    Professor Neil Frude\, Consultant Clinical Psychologist •    Dr Mike Davies\, Independent Psychotherapist •    Dr James Feeney\, Clinical Psychologist  This event is aimed at practitioners working with primary school aged children and their families in schools\, youth and community services\, early intervention and prevention services/Families First and Communities First partnerships. This Families First Practice Exchange event aims to support those on the front line in considering the overarching themes of well-being and resilience in relation to their own development and practice alongside sharing good practice examples of ‘off the shelf’ evidence based approaches available that can assist them in understanding/supporting and managing the thoughts\, feelings and behaviours of children in need of emotional support and intervention. Workshops will offer participants practical skills\, tools and techniques to increase personal wellbeing and resilience as well as an opportunity to learn about bespoke interventions for families that focus on building on their strengths and resilience factors. \nIn order to secure a place\, please email Samantha for a booking form and return it by Friday 30th October 2015 at the latest. There is an opportunity to showcase your service within the marketplace at the event. DESCRIPTION:The second annual Cardiff Media Summit is being held on November 11th to discuss the findings of the IWA’s Media Audit which will be launched ahead of the conference. \nThis is a major survey of the media in Wales – across print\, broadcast and online and in Welsh and English – which is being carried out by the IWA’s media policy group and academics\, and will include data and commentary on the state of the Welsh media. \nBBC Director of Strategy\, the former Culture Secretary\, James Purnell\, will be delivering the keynote address on the challenges facing the BBC ahead of Charter Renewal and the future of the licence fee.
