DESCRIPTION:You can make a real difference to people by giving them information in a form that they can understand and relate to. \nThis Learning Disability Wales course will include a recap on the principles of Making Information Easy to Read and Understand Level 1 and then look at how delegates can develop and improve their skills. \nThe course will help delegates work with longer and more complex documents and will focus on: \n\ndeveloping your use of easy to understand language\ninclusion of relevant information\ndividing information up into useful sections\nputting your document in a meaningful order\nglossaries and indexes.\n\nClick here to see more information and to make an online booking. \nFollow-up session \nAll delegates will be invited to a follow up session a few weeks after this course.  You will be able to meet up with your fellow learners and the tutor for a trouble shooting\, advice and feedback session. \nDesigned for \nAnyone who has attended Making Information Easy to Read and Understand Level 1 or who has experience of writing information in Easy Read. \n

DESCRIPTION:An informal chat about health and well-being for anyone who fancies a free cup of tea or coffee! \nEvery day\, we all make choices which affect our health and well-being. Many of us face challenges in trying to maintain a healthy weight\, whether because we’re overweight\, underweight or just trying to keep a healthy weight. In particular\, being overweight or obese can impact hugely upon our health. \nThe good news is that there’s a lot we can all do to help each other; in our communities\, organisations\, schools\, the NHS and councils\, the voluntary sector\, Welsh Government and the food and drinks industry. \nWe want to have a conversation with everyone about what we are all doing to achieve and maintain a healthy weight and how we can take action together. We’re keen to hear from individuals\, groups\, communities and organisations as to what we can all do and how we can each become involved. It could be activities in communities\, schools or in the workplace; changes to services; different foods in our shops or in our schools; policy change by government or even reducing the speed limits on our roads to encourage walking and cycling. \nWhy don’t you drop in?
