SUMMARY:Social Services & Well-being (Wales) Act 2014 Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Glamorgan Voluntary Services (GVS) is working in partnership with the Vale of Glamorgan Council to coordinate a workshop event to raise awareness of the implications of the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014. The Act will be implemented from April 2016\, fundamentally changing the way social services work in Wales. \nWhilst we don’t yet have all the answers as the second tranche of public consultation on the codes\, regulation and guidance is still out for consultation\, this workshop will bring you up to date and give you the opportunity to raise any queries you may have about the impact of the Act on the work you do. \nYou can choose to attend either the morning or afternoon session. SUMMARY:Cardiff Volunteer Co-ordinators' Network (CVCN) event
DESCRIPTION:July’s CVCN will give members a chance to learn about the PQASSO quality standard.This is a standard which is increasingly important when it comes to ensuring that volunteer involving organisations are able to bid effectively.The event hopes to support any volunteer involving organisations that are not able to attend the WCVA Volunteering conference in Llanrwst. PQASSO covers all aspects of an organisation\, from governance to service delivery and monitoring outcomes. PQASSO can be used by all types of third sector organisations\, including charities\, social enterprises\, community interest companies and community groups. \nMembers will be able to find out more about the standard and there will be a question and answer session from Heledd Kirkbride PQASSO for Wales Engagement Officer\, NCVO. \nOrganisations will also be able to hear from Third Sector Officer\, Alison Pritchard and find out more information on support available from C3SC.  \nThe CVCN is a joint network run by VCS Cardiff and C3SC.  \n You can view the full agenda here.
