SUMMARY:Welsh Language Skills for Managers
DESCRIPTION:The three-day Welsh Centre for Language Planning course is aimed at Welsh speaking managers who are fluent Welsh speakers within the social context but lack the confidence to use their Welsh fully within their professional roles. The course is aimed at managers who wish to boost their language confidence levels and competencies within their work context.  The course aims to build the confidence of Welsh speaking managers and develop their Welsh language skills in order that they may increase their use of Welsh at work. \nThe course will cover the following topics: \n * Language awareness * Bilingual workplaces – facilitating change * Language skills tutorials * Public speaking * Media interviews * Preparing and delivering presentations * Chairing meetings * Discussing work issues with staff – induction and appraisal * The Welsh language and IT \nFee: £595 + VAT     £545 + VAT for IAITH members \n  \nThe other two days are: 18 June and 2 July.

DESCRIPTION:The Mentor Ring and VCS Cardiff present a Volunteering Showcase as part of Volunteers’ Week.\nMade in Cardiff TV will be filming at the event. VCS Cardiff and The Mentor Ring would like to extend an invitation to all volunteering involving organisations that wish to attend. If you are attending\, please bring an A4 size sheet with the name and logo of your organisation.
