DESCRIPTION:  \nA one-day Diverse Cymru training course\nThis course aims to give participants a better understanding of the mental health needs of young people from a variety of perspectives\, to promote confidence in being able to respond to their needs. \n \nWhy attend?\nTo gain an awareness and understanding of mental health issues which affect adolescents and young people. \nTo identify risk factors in the prevention of suicide and also other risk taking factors ie bullying\, bereavement and substance misuse. \nTo enable participants to more effectively support and respond to the needs of adolescents and young people including signposting them on for specialist care. \nFind out more and book your place via the Diverse Cymru website. \n

SUMMARY:Money Matters Seminar
DESCRIPTION:How will the introduction of universal credit affect people trying to manage their finances? This Shelter Cymru seminar will take delegates through the structure of universal credit and discuss how staff and organisations and tenants are going to prepare for this change. Valuable feedback from the Shotton Pilot project will be discussed and any practical measures that have resulted from this. It will also provide useable solutions for post Christmas debt to help mitigate  the effect this will have on people’s ability to pay their housing costs.
