SUMMARY:Free healthy cooking course for men diagnosed with prostate cancer
DESCRIPTION:Focus on Food is running a hands-on cooking course with Prostate Cancer UK. Men diagnosed with prostate cancer can find out how they can manage their diet for a healthier lifestyle and can bring their partners if they would like some extra support. \nSessions will cover: \n– Learn more about diet and prostate cancer and dispelling dietary myths. \n– Learn how to make healthier choices that can help manage their weight after treatment. \n– Find out how a healthy diet and regular physical activity may help you manage the effects of prostate cancer and its treatment. \nEach fun and informative cooking session will have a member of the Prostate Cancer UK team present along with the teachers from Focus on Food. The cooking course will cover economical\, popular and family-friendly recipes that can be made at home and will include all ingredients and recipes.  \nParticipation is totally free. SUMMARY:Free training opportunity around award-nominated arts project
DESCRIPTION:The Booktrust Stories Tour ran from November 2013 to April 2014 in prisons\, libraries and community centres around the country. The specially commissioned storytelling show reached over 1500 children and their families from communities and areas with low engagement in the arts. The tour has been chosen as an example of Good Practice in Family Learning by Ofsted and has been nominated for awards by Nursery World and Children and Young People Now. \nAs part of the legacy to the tour\, Booktrust is offering free training sessions based around the toolkit they have produced. The toolkit is for venues\, local authorities\, artists and anyone else interested in putting on arts events in community settings.
