SUMMARY:Protection of Vulnerable Adults - Conducting Non-Criminal Investigations (POVA Level 4)
DESCRIPTION:This training is designed for registered managers of residential homes and managers of domiciliary agencies who may be tasked with carrying out a non-criminal investigation under the Wales Protection Forum Policy. It is also open to Managers of day centres from Cardiff County Council and Social Work practitioners who may be tasked with carrying out a non-criminal investigation under the Wales Adult Protection Forum Policy. \nIt is essential that all participants have attended (or completed previously) the POVA Decision Making and Information Sharing training (Level 3) prior to attending this course.

SUMMARY:Cardiff Team Around the Family Open Day Celebration
DESCRIPTION:The Cardiff Team Around the Family would like to invite you to their Open Day Celebration  on the 18th June 2014 at which they will present the new Families First Freephone service and also showcase work carried out by the CTAF team. \nKey speakers: Katy Burch\, Principal Consultant\, Institute of Public Care\, Oxford Brookes University and Independent Family Therapist\, Mike Davies. \nThe day will include 2 workshops\, giving you an opportunity to  hear from parents about their experiences of Families First Services and learn more about Restorative Approaches and Motivational Interviewing techniques underpinning the work of the CTAF team. \nYou will also be able to gather information about the other Families First Services from the ‘Market Stalls’ available throughout the day. \nA Finger Buffet Lunch will be provided. Please say if you have any special dietary requirements. \nYou will need to book as places are limited so please get in touch to say you will be attending by 6th June 2014.

DESCRIPTION:The Sheila McKechnie Foundation has partnered with C3SC to bring its quality training services to our members. \nThis essential one-day workshop is provided by UK campaigning charity The Sheila McKechnie Foundation and supported by the Tudor Trust. DESCRIPTION:The introduction of universal credit from October 2013 will fundamentally change the current system of benefits and tax credits.
