SUMMARY:Mental Health First Aid (Wales)
DESCRIPTION:Two-day Diverse Cymru course (the second day of the course is 31 March) \nMHFA (Wales) is a 12 hour course which is funded and supported by the Welsh Government and its partners include the Public Health Wales\, Health Challenge Wales and Mind Cymru. MHFA is in 21 countries in the world. The idea of MHFA is that people should be taught how to perform basic ‘first aid’ for those exhibiting signs of mental distress\, just as they are commonly taught first aid for physical problems. DESCRIPTION:This accredited course will help you to: \n – Be aware of the need for Food Hygiene within a historical and contemporary context       – Be able to identify major hazards to food safety and the main sources of contamination – Describe the main sources of food poisoning and common symptoms – Be able to describe practices to adopt in order to avoid the spread of bacteria – Be aware of the reasons and procedures for thorough cleaning and appropriate maintenance of food premises and equipment in controlling hazards to food safety – State and explain the reasons for high standards in personal hygiene – Have the knowledge to deal with problems arising from pets \nPlease note: there will be a flat rate charge of £15 to cover the cost of your accreditation\, in addition the usual course fee (if applicable).  \nRegistration: 9.15am
