SUMMARY:C3SC Training: Emergency First Aid at Work
DESCRIPTION:Fully booked \nThe course will cover: \n – The role of the first aider – Communicating with a casualty – Contents of first aid kits (and avoid cross infection) – Recording of incidents and accidents – Assessing situations and circumstances in order to act safely\, promptly and effectively in an emergency – Administer first aid to a casualty who: \n– is unconscious \n– requires cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) \n– is choking \n– is wounded or bleeding \n– is in shock \n– has head injuries \n– has broken bones \n– suffering with anaphylactic shock and use of epi-pen \n– has minor conditions – to include: minor cuts\, grazes and bruises\, minor burns & scalds\, small splinters \n  \nThis course is for candidates who require an Appointed Persons First Aid or an accredited Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) certificate to comply with HSE requirements. \nQualification: EFAW/ APFA certificate\, valid for 3 years along with course handouts on successful completion and assessment of the course. \nRegistration from 9.15am
