SUMMARY:Introduction to Benefits 2013
DESCRIPTION:Never has there been a time before\, when the UK welfare benefit system was so confusing and complicated\, with so many radical changes being proposed and implimented. \nThis Train on the Tracks one-day introductory course has been designed to enable delegates to recognise and understand the purpose of the most commonly claimed benefits\, focusing on jobseekers and incapacity for work\, the social fund\, housing benefit and Disability Living Allowance changes. \nIf you want help to introduce and form a model of the benefits system that is manageable and simple\, this is the course is for you.    \nCourse content: \n – simple method of clarity\, around contributory\, universal\, means-tested and earnings replacement benefits\, including benefit maximisation – detailed look at Income Support\, income based Jobseekers Allowance and income related Employment & Support Allowance\, including an understanding of premiums and joint claims. – Housing Benefit (including Local Housing Allowance changes) – discretionary Social Fund including Crisis Loans\, Budgeting Loans and Community Care Grants – Disability Living Allowance and the new Personal Independence Payment – Welfare reform and benefit changes 2012-14 onwards \n    \nMethods of delivery: \nDelegates are supplied with a course companion containing comprehensive reference material for future use.
