SUMMARY:Child Protection - "Understanding how to safeguard the welfare of children and young people"
DESCRIPTION:A one-day Children in Wales course \nThis course is aimed at anyone working directly or indirectly with children and young people in a wide range of workplace and community settings. The purpose of the training is to give participants confidence and essential knowledge on how to safeguard the children and young people in their environment.  \nThe training is accredited through Agored Cymru and participants will need to complete assessments to demonstrate learning. Upon successful completion of an assignment the participant will achieve 3 credits at level 2. DESCRIPTION:Formal Advocacy – advocating for children and young people as part of a wider role \nAgored Cymru – Level 3 (7 Credits) \nThe Welsh Government’s Guidance to the Model for Delivering Advocacy Services for Children and Young People in Wales 2011 identifies a range of professionals who work with children and young people who are able to advocate on their behalf.
