SUMMARY:Train the trainer - breast health promotion
DESCRIPTION:An Open College Network (OCN) accredited course in promoting breast awareness for voluntary\, community or health sector workers. \nThis course provides you with the knowledge\, skills and resources to deliver this crucial health message in the community. Interactive sessions will help you gain the skills to: \n – Understand and describe how to be breast aware – Help people overcome barriers to accessing health services – Explain the NHS breast screening screening and the process – Discuss breast awareness on a one-to-one basis with individuals – Deliver breast awareness workshops \n   \nAn opportunity to take part in a training course delivered by Breast Cancer Care and accredited by the OCN. \nThis two-day training course is designed to give confidence in delivering breast awareness messages to groups and individuals.  \nAccredited participants will be awarded four credits by the OCN. SUMMARY:Free networking opportunity run by Media Trust
DESCRIPTION:In partnership with BBC Wales\, Media Trust is hosting a free networking opportunity for local charities on Thursday 7th March. The event is a ‘Speedmatching’ evening and they are inviting 10 local charities to meet with 10 media professionals.  \nThe event is a chance for you to meet potential volunteers that can help your organisation with your media and communications needs. This can be help with PR\, Marketing\, Social Media\, Web\, film\, radio\, branding and much more. \nBecause this event is being held at the BBC\, a number of the professionals will be from the BBC. However\, there will be a range of media professionals with different skills. \nThe event takes place from 5.45-7.45pm on Thursday 7th March.
